Viva Acappella were a storming success in their latest show, ‘Follow The Stars’.
The “sparkling Christmas spectacular” held in Orpington featured 2 sets from the award winning chorus. The night was kicked off by MC Dave Bayliss before Viva Acappella took the stage. They wowed the crowd with their glam dresses and popular songs from the likes of Bruno Mars and Queen.
In their second set they entertained with some classic Christmas songs such as ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and ‘Silent Night’. The song that was an instant hit with the audience was their rendition of ‘Carol of The Bells’. The famous song has been featured in films and even recently on the Christmas advert for ITV.
Other featured performers on the night were male barbershop chorus The Kentones, medal winning quartets The Late Show and iQ, Soprano Lindsay Thompson, and young singer/songwriter Hannah Bruce.
David Southgate, Chairman of The Kentones was enthralled by the audience’s enthusiasm and said “We certainly enjoyed sharing some of Viva’s limelight. Thank you, Viva, for the privilege”.
The chorus have been blown away by the support and comments they have received since the show and are looking forward to the next big event, their Summer Ball in 2013.
